Brimi Cuisine Education Office

The Brimi Cuisine Education Office is a collaboration between Besseggen Fjellpark Maurvangen, Bessheim Mountain Lodge and Cabins, Brimi Mountain Lodge, Gjendesheim Turist Lodge (Norwegian Tourist Association (DNT)), Haugseter Mountain Lodge, Hindsæter Mountain Hotel, Lemonsjø Mountain Lodge and Cabins, Raubergstulen and Vianvang.

The Brimi Cuisine Education Office is based on the culinary philosophy of the Norwegian master Chef Arne Brimi. The intention behind opening an education office is to create attractive placements for trainee chefs within local businesses and by this means secure well-qualified and enthusiastic kitchen staff who together will put us on the gastronomic map.

We are making it possible for both local youths and youths from other parts of the country to be trained as chefs with the intention of working in this region. Apprentices will also discover what the area has to offer in terms of experiences and activities.

Master chef Arne Brimi has for many years been an inspiration to these businesses. They have listened to and tried to put into practice his culinary philosophy. They intend to continue with this. In order to progress it is necessary to turn ideas into action; in other words to make individual kitchens better able to employ fine culinary crafts.
